Mr. Daniel Kwaku Agyekum holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Diploma in Insurance (Distinction) from the West African Insurance Institute, Banjul, The Gambia, and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London (ACII-UK).

With over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Agyekum brings extensive professional expertise and industry knowledge to the Board of Pinnacle Life Insurance Company Limited.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Agyekum has held several senior leadership positions within the insurance sector. He began his career as one of the pioneer Underwriting Managers at Great Africa Insurance Co. Ltd. He subsequently served in various leadership capacities at Unique Insurance Company Limited, where he played a significant role in the company’s growth and development.

As part of his continued professional development, Mr. Agyekum has participated in numerous local and international courses, seminars, and workshops, including:

• Management Assessment, Strategy for Development and Marketing, organized by the International Co-operative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF), United Kingdom.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, organized by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
• Marketing of Services in Ghana, organized by MDPI.
• Developing Customer Service Strategies, organized by MDPI.

Mr. Agyekum’s extensive experience in insurance, underwriting, leadership, marketing, and customer service contributes valuable expertise to the strategic direction and governance of Pinnacle Life Insurance Company Limited.

He is married and has two children.
